THE Yantian District of Shenzhen organized more than a dozen enterprises to participate in the ICIF last year, reaching deals totaling more than 2.89 billion yuan (US$445 million). Among them, more than 1.34 billion yuan of deals was concluded at the main venue at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The subvenue of OCT East saw deals worth more than 5.34 million yuan sealed while the Yantian International Creative Harbor witnessed deals totaling more than 1.54 billion yuan, including three super large deals that each exceeded 100 million yuan.

The district government has done a large quantity of research among cultural enterprises, especially among film and video companies, exploring the possibility of creating a film and video base.

The government organized four jewelry companies to attend the ICIF last year and helped them cultivate brands featuring “lucky land, lucky gold and good luck.”

It also provided help for the Yantian International Creative Harbor to apply for a city-level creative park, and for Chow Tai Fook to obtain a municipal fund subsidy.
